Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in food product development or a related role. Strong knowledge of dietary supplement regulations, including 21 CFR Part 111, is essential, along with experience in conducting research, experimental design, data analysis, and technical writing.
The Food Scientist will be responsible for conducting research to develop new dietary supplement products, improving existing products, and creating line extensions. They will work with multiple product platforms, defining processing parameters, establishing quality standards, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The role also includes providing technical support for assigned projects, updating master formulas, creating product specifications, and managing projects from pilot trials through commercial production, while adhering to dietary supplement regulations and maintaining quality standards.
