Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in Food Science or a related field
  • 2+ years in a food manufacturing environment, preferably with ready-to-eat or toppings production
  • Strong understanding of HACCP, USDA, GMP, and SSOP’s; HACCP certification preferred
  • Basic computer skills for creating simple queries, spreadsheets, etc.; SAP knowledge advantageous
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual abilities a plus
  • Ability to supervise a small group of personnel with somewhat similar tasks

  • Must reside in the United States; sponsorship not available

Responsibilities

  • Conduct audits and assist the FSQA manager in ensuring compliance with quality standards
  • Prepare the facility for GFSI and customer-specific audits
  • Investigate and address customer complaints, foreign material incidents, and environmental issues
  • Verify production paperwork and conduct production floor checks
  • Execute GMP and housekeeping audits
  • Oversee the annual reassessment of HACCP
  • Facilitate Team Member food safety training
  • Perform a variety of tasks requiring sound judgment, including prioritization, result evaluation, and effective collaboration with colleagues
  • Flexibility in work hours required, with coverage on other shifts as needed
  • Occasional weekend work may be assigned by the Manager
