Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily produce inspections: checking counts, product placement, expiration dates; documenting findings with pictures and reporting issues
  • Manage QAHOLD area: inspecting and verifying items, updating spreadsheets, verifying against systems (HJ), coordinating disposition with teams
  • Maintain Master Sanitation Program: printing weekly cleaning check-sheets, ensuring accuracy of all sections (weekly, bi-monthly, monthly, bi-yearly, yearly), verifying and filing completed records
  • Handle filing and record keeping: verifying and filing receiving forms, produce inspection reports, daily temp logs, employee training files, QAHOLD forms, certificates of destruction/donation, and Bills of Lading
  • Assist with yearly review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and development of new SOPs
  • Perform monthly temperature equipment calibrations and required documentation
  • Assist in FSQA specification and SOP development: participating in SOPs and specifications, taking and inserting pictures into templates
  • Address fresh customer issues: checking complaints in Fresh and Frozen merchandise, looking up orders, inserting findings, compiling reports
  • Conduct daily/weekly pack audits: ensuring correct packing of fresh and other items, filling out Google forms, noting issues, reporting to the team
  • Assist with produce delivery inspections: verifying against invoices, checking country of origin, recording expiration dates, taking pictures of damaged product, noting quantities of loose and damaged items, filling reports
  • Conduct appropriate sampling to confirm if Member complaints are isolated or indicate inventory issues
  • Execute and maintain Organic Programs, including assistance with audits and documentation
  • Own product inspection tasks: ensuring all required inspections are conducted, communicated, and recorded on time
  • Manage QA hold & release process: ensuring all product checks are executed appropriately
  • Conduct internal audits to assess compliance with FSQA SOPs and SSOPs
  • Work directly with QA Manager to provide feedback on quality issues for timely actions
