Strong technical understanding of general accounting and reporting requirements, including strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations
Advanced analytical skills with the ability to anticipate

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing and supporting the filing of periodic reports with the SEC, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and other filings such as 8-K’s, Proxy Statements, and Form 4’s
Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements and accompanying footnotes in accordance with U.S. GAAP
Coordinate with external auditors during quarterly reviews and the annual audit
Collaborate closely with other departments, such as legal, accounting, FP&A, and internal audit to gather necessary information for the accuracy and completeness of financial disclosures
Assist in the preparation of internal reports and presentations for senior and executive leadership
Assist with the month end, quarter end, and year end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Prepare detailed and timely reconciliations of general ledger accounts, as assigned
Research and document complex technical accounting matters and their impact on financial reporting; stay current with new accounting pronouncements and SEC regulations
Manage and review the eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) tagging process for SEC filings
Identify and implement improvements to the financial reporting process, close process, and reconciliation process for greater efficiency and accuracy
Conduct variance analysis of actual vs. budget/prior year results and provide insightful explanations to management
Maintain timely communication with colleagues and leadership, including communicating all material financial reporting issues
