Requirements

  • Relevant accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Relevant experience in reporting under IFRS
  • Statutory accounting, audit or management accounting experience
  • Effectively communicating and managing senior stakeholders
  • Strong focus on the quality of work with attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Desire to learn and develop new skills

  • Experience with producing statutory reporting for listed companies, within a Bank or financial services business
  • IFRS9 financial instruments experience
  • Experience with derivatives and hedge accounting

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the Group’s external financial reporting, including the Group annual report and accounts, quarterly interim reporting and subsidiary statutory accounts and related work papers
  • Assist in accounting queries, day-to-day management of external auditors, process improvements and ad hoc projects
  • Prepare the Group annual report and accounts, subsidiary annual statutory accounts, and quarterly external reporting to agreed deadlines
  • Produce periodic financial reporting to support treasury transactions, ensuring accurate financial information is produced
  • Co-ordinate external audit requests ensuring requests are responded to on a timely basis and accurate documentation is provided
  • Effectively communicate with the external audit team and Group Finance
  • Produce statutory accounts work papers in accordance with reporting timetables, whilst appropriately addressing review comments
  • Draft quarterly and annual timetables, ensuring key delivery dates are met, updating on progress, and managing stakeholders across the projects
