Requirements

Relevant accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
Relevant experience in reporting under IFRS
Statutory accounting, audit or management accounting experience
Effectively communicating and managing senior stakeholders
Strong focus on the quality of work with attention to detail
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Desire to learn and develop new skills
Desirable
Experience with producing statutory reporting for listed companies, within a Bank or financial services business
IFRS9 financial instruments experience
Experience with derivatives and hedge accounting
Experience of BI tools

Responsibilities

Prepare the Group’s external financial reporting, including the Group annual report and accounts, quarterly interim reporting and subsidiary statutory accounts and related work papers
Assist in accounting queries, day-to-day management of external auditors, process improvements and ad hoc projects
Prepare the Group annual report and accounts, subsidiary annual statutory accounts, and quarterly external reporting to agreed deadlines
Produce periodic financial reporting to support treasury transactions, ensuring accurate financial information is produced
Co-ordinate external audit requests ensuring requests are responded to on a timely basis and accurate documentation is provided
Effectively communicate with the external audit team and Group Finance
Produce statutory accounts work papers in accordance with reporting timetables, whilst appropriately addressing review comments
Draft quarterly and annual timetables, ensuring key delivery dates are met, updating on progress, and managing stakeholders across the projects
