Position Overview

Veritas Veterinary Partners is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical FP&A Manager to join our finance team. As a leading provider of emergency and multi-specialty healthcare services, Veritas has 14 locations nationwide serving over 100,000 pets annually. This role is crucial in supporting financial planning, budgeting, and decision-making processes across our network of hospitals. The FP&A Manager will manage Financial Analysts and report to the Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow projections.
  • Lead the development of annual budgets and forecasts for individual facilities and the hospital chain.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue, cost per procedure, and operational expenses, identifying trends and variances.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses for new equipment purchases, service expansions, or staffing changes.
  • Collaborate with department heads to evaluate the financial impacts of clinical programs and operational initiatives.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to senior leadership to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain and update financial models to reflect business changes.
  • Lead due diligence and financial modeling for mergers and acquisitions.
  • Prepare presentations for the Board of Directors and senior management team.
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in audits and ensure adherence to financial guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Six or more years of experience in Finance, strategy/management consulting, investment banking, corporate finance, or private equity.
  • Prior management experience.
  • Experience with at least two annual planning/budget cycles.
  • Experience with relevant enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
