Requirements

Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience as a Chief Accountant or Associate Finance Manager in Uzbekistan. A university degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a professional qualification required for a Chief Accounting Officer in Uzbekistan is necessary. Proficiency in MS Office applications and intermediate or higher English skills are required, with knowledge of SAP being a significant advantage. Native Uzbek speakers are preferred.

Responsibilities

The Financial Controller will manage the local controllership function and financial operations for the NIQ UZ Business, providing support to local commercial and operations leadership. Responsibilities include managing local statutory and tax accounting to ensure compliance with regulations, adhering to NIQ policies, and driving local standardization initiatives. The role involves carrying out financial reporting, month-end closing activities in SAP/Onestream, and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting. Reviewing and signing off on monthly account reconciliations, acting as the custodian of internal controls and SOX documentation, and coordinating with group controllers and core teams are key duties. The controller will also serve as the main point of contact for banking operations, auditors, tax consultants, and authorities, and handle other ad hoc accounting and reporting requests.
