Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance
  • 5+ years applicable financial experience – experience working in the creative industry is a plus
  • Preferred: Proficiency in NetSuite and SalesForce
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work with finance and non-financial people alike
  • Proven ability to effectively manage workload, prioritize and streamline tasks to ensure accuracy, and take “ownership-mentality” in work
  • Strong ability to anticipate problems, analyze situations, and proactively come up with solutions, or reach out for assistance when needed in a timely manner

Responsibilities

  • QA monthly closing work of third party team and control the flow of data into general ledger
  • Oversee aspects of client billing – including partnering with product management leads to ensure accuracy of invoices
  • Production and maintenance of client P&Ls and forecasts
  • Review the WIP and the AR balances for the clients on a weekly/monthly basis in connection with the project owners
  • Prepare monthly balance sheets and profit/loss statements
  • Assist in the preparation of some audit/review schedules and review of the books and records with an outside audit team
  • Manage employee and client expense process via Expensify
  • Assist in managing accounting vendor
