Requirements

High School Graduate or equivalent (GED)
Associates degree with a Technical focus and 10 years of related experience in specific industry; or, 12 years of experience in specific industry
Comprehensive understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems. Can analyze the problem, synthesize alternative solutions, and perform repairs
Ability to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate
Extensive travel required (Local, National, International)
Competencies: Communications, Customer Focus, Personal Discipline, Safety
Physical ability to stand, walk, use hands/fingers, reach, climb/balance, stoop/kneel/crouch/crawl, lift/move >50 pounds, use close/color vision; occasional sitting and exposure to outside conditions

Responsibilities

Performs expert level break-fix & preventative maintenance, including observing devices, dismantling, examining parts, adjusting, repairing/replacing parts, testing electrical/mechanical systems, reconditioning machine tools
Identifies and sources parts, supplies and repair items as necessary. Performs evaluations of alternatives to improve cost/reliability of equipment
Independently performs maintenance as per industry standards
Works with customer counterparts to optimize maintenance, reliability, and preventative maintenance procedures
May setup and operate machining operations (lathe, drill press, grinder, metalworking tools) to make/repair parts. May perform welding tasks
Conforms and complies with customer contractor codes of conduct, housekeeping standards, and safety processes
Documents work performed in service reports, management systems, and written explanations of observations/equipment data
Provides assistance to lower level technicians and leadership to project teams. Performs expert functions for training/development
Troubleshoots and analyzes complex control systems to resolve software/hardware/configuration problems
Utilizes advanced maintenance technologies to collect equipment performance data, observe trends, and make recommendations
Completes and conducts on-the-job training and technical self-study programs for career development
Follows all safety related policies, rules, regulations, instructions, and guidelines. Maintains situational awareness to identify unsafe behaviors/conditions
