Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in Electronics or Engineering field preferred
  • EPA Certification preferred
  • 1+ year of experience in field service, depot repair, manufacturing facilities or equivalent, servicing medical devices or laboratory equipment, etc
  • Strong electronic/electrical and mechanical background preferred, refrigeration experience a plus
  • Experience working with basic test equipment such as DMM, tachometer, temperature devices, etc
  • Hands-on Refrigeration experience preferred
  • Ability to operate computers, smartphones, and related software efficiently
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs without assistance, and lift 50 lbs with assistance, and carry 25-30 Lbs. continuously

Responsibilities

  • Repair, install, and maintain a variety of laboratory equipment products including incubators, centrifuges, cold storage (refrigerators and freezers), and other equipment as needed
  • Schedules and completes detailed preventative maintenance and corrective service to ensure peak uptime of customer equipment
  • Provide onsite service training to Biomedical Engineering Technicians (BMET) or advanced operators
  • Submit expenses and manage trunk stock inventory in a timely and accurate manner
  • Document daily service actions through the company work order database
  • Maintains courteous and knowledgeable communication with customers to ensure alignment of all aspects of the service events (status, cost, scheduling, etc.)
  • Diagnosing and solving problems using schematics, diagrams, service manuals, and other technical resources
  • Builds positive relationships and delivers customer-centric service
