Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • At least 1-2 years of experience working with autonomous vehicles or robotics systems
  • Strong proficiency in C++ and ROS2 framework (including tools like Rviz, Rqt, plotjuggler, etc)
  • Advanced understanding of Git and Linux
  • Strong reasoning skills and mathematics background including linear algebra, geometry, calculus, and probability
  • Excellent debugging skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues quickly
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to pass federal background checks and receive and maintain issuance of an airport security badge
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Robotics or a related field
  • Experience with sensor integration and diagnostics managers for autonomous systems
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Advanced proficiency in Python or Shell Scripting for automation purposes
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in dynamic field environments

Responsibilities

  • Develop, deploy, and maintain software for autonomous vehicles using C++ and ROS2
  • Good understanding of the entire stack to debug and troubleshoot issues with the autonomous system in real-time at the customer site, providing quick and effective solutions
  • Work closely with the hardware and software engineering teams to integrate new features and improvements into the autonomous system
  • Conduct and orchestrate field tests with the testing engineers to validate the performance and safety of the autonomous vehicles
  • Analyze data from field tests and deployments to identify and address issues, optimizing the performance of the system
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of the autonomous vehicles
