Responsibilities

  • Coordinating routine maintenance and addressing repairs for building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural components to ensure they are functioning properly
  • Planning and optimizing the use of space within the facility, including office layouts, meeting rooms, and common areas, to meet the needs of the organization and its employees
  • Ensuring the facility complies with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards, including conducting regular inspections and audits, and implementing safety protocols and emergency response plans
  • Coordinating with external vendors and contractors for services such as cleaning, landscaping, security, and specialized maintenance, including negotiating contracts, managing budgets, and overseeing the quality of work
  • Implementing and promoting sustainable practices within the facility, such as energy efficiency measures, waste reduction programs, and environmentally friendly building materials and technologies
  • Keeping track of facility-related assets, including equipment, furniture, and supplies, including maintaining inventory records, scheduling preventative maintenance, and managing asset lifecycles
  • Developing and managing the facilities budget, including forecasting expenses, tracking expenditures, and identifying cost-saving opportunities
  • Providing support and assistance to employees and other facility users, addressing their needs and concerns related to the physical work environment
