Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience designing or maintaining mission-critical electrical or mechanical engineering systems (e.g., UPS, Generators, STS, ATS, Chillers, CRACs, BMS/EPMS systems)
  • Experience developing and maintaining scripts or tools using Bash, Python, or similar languages
  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to tackle complex logic
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Proven problem-solving ability to deliver on any task
  • Strong logical reasoning and judgment skills backed by data

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems, including adding/editing monitoring points and alarm logic for comprehensive coverage and minimal noise
  • Implement new monitoring points in proprietary systems from BMS and mission-critical mechanical/electrical systems
  • Participate in designing and architecting robust, intuitive, and scalable monitoring systems for global deployments
  • Collaborate with software engineers to develop systems tailored to Facilities Engineering needs
  • Engage in team discussions to address challenges, propose solutions, and implement improvements for monitoring efficacy and user experience
  • Analyze existing monitoring for gaps in alerting logic, optimizations, dependencies, naming conventions, and organizational standards
  • Scale systems and processes to enhance efficiency, streamline tasks, maintain accuracy, and reduce implementation time/toil
  • Develop tools and utilities to empower the Facilities Engineering team for proactive measures
