Requirements

Ability to work from hydraulic and electrical schematics, drawings, diagrams, photographs, bills of material, written or verbal instructions
Proficiency with various hand and power tools and equipment (e.g., band saws, drill press, pipe benders and threaders, gas/arc/MIG/TIG welders, plasma cutting torch, spray painting equipment, jib cranes, flow-meters, volt-ohm meter)
Experience or capability in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic assembly, cutting, fitting, welding, and painting
Ability to operate forklifts
Knowledge of safety rules, regulations, and practices
Commitment to maintaining equipment and work area in clean, orderly condition and reporting malfunctions or issues

Responsibilities

Fabricate, assemble, and test fluid power transmission and control systems
Position fittings, pumps, motors, valves, and other components; cut/drill holes in tanks and covers
Weld couplings and fabricate/weld mounting brackets
Cut, thread, bend, and assemble piping following accepted practices
Pre-charge accumulators with high-pressure nitrogen
Mount and wire electrical boxes and components per schematics and instructions
Operate forklift to move units to test area, prepare for testing, and make corrections
Clean, mask, prep units for painting; operate spray painting equipment to prime and finish
Make up and apply tags/labels; mount units for shipping
Maintain equipment and work area; detect/report malfunctions or problems to supervisor
Follow all safety rules, regulations, and practices
Support The Hope Group Business Management System (BMS) procedures and work instructions through established processes and continual improvement
