Candidates must possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree, with CIMA, CAIA, CFA designations and/or an MBA being a plus. A minimum of 5 years of experience in external wholesaling, specifically within the bank channel and the Alberta market, is required. Strong consultative and relationship-building skills, along with a deep understanding of fixed income and alternative strategies, are essential. The role requires regular travel and a comprehensive knowledge of PIMCO's products, platforms, market themes, and strategies, as well as those of its clients.
The External Wholesaler will drive sales across PIMCO's investment solutions by developing and deepening relationships with financial advisors through a consultative sales approach. They will maintain an active presence in the market by conducting client events, presentations, and training sessions, and build relationships with senior individuals within client organizations to identify opportunities. Responsibilities include sharing client and sales insights, maintaining knowledge of PIMCO's offerings and industry regulations, maximizing territory performance against sales goals, and partnering with management to develop and execute a strategic territory business plan. The role also involves leveraging firm resources, scheduling and following up on sales activities, cultivating relationships with dealer group and platform partners, representing PIMCO at industry events, and providing feedback to management on market trends and client satisfaction.
