Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in design (or suitable combination of education, experience, and training)
  • 8+ years’ experience designing and developing innovative footwear and other products (preferred)
  • Knowledge of form, color, materials, human factors related to elevating the consumer experience
  • Ability to translate consumer knowledge and insights into product solutions and narratives
  • Experience in technical footwear design
  • Strong Photoshop and Illustrator skills
  • Ability to build accurate 2D technical drawings (tech packs)
  • Strong sketching, illustration, and rendering skills
  • Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
  • Experienced with presentation programs: Keynote, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc
  • Cobbling and prototyping skills (a plus)
  • AI and 3D design programs experience (a plus)
  • Positive personality and energy
  • Ability to contribute and align to shared team culture and behaviors
  • Catalyst to make connections with other Design groups
  • Ability to lead and drive partnerships beyond Design (Marketing, Engineering, Development, etc.)
  • Motivated and hardworking about bringing others along

  • Working closely with external collaborators and internal teams to craft footwear that ignites future opportunities for in-line teams
  • Shaping every detail from concept to execution to inspire and elevate the future of footwear
  • Collaborating with creative and innovative minds, external partners, internal designers, developers, product managers, and engineers
  • Bringing fresh ideas to life from brief to market
  • Leading conversations that push boundaries
  • Serving as a key voice in the creative process to inspire teams and communities, championing innovation at every step
  • Working on collaborative and non-collaborative projects to drive edge and innovation for Nike design
  • Co-creating and building trust with high caliber partners
  • Seeking insights as a curious observer to solve problems in unexpected ways
  • Creating work that disrupts, excites, and redefines with a visionary eye for design and fearless approach to innovation
