Candidates should possess 4-8 years of experience as a Developer Relations Engineer, Developer Advocate, Developer Evangelist, or in related roles such as Software Engineer, Technical Writer, Implementation Specialist, or Sales Engineer, and should be able to fluidly create clear, idiomatic code in at least one widely-used backend language, create reference architectures, and write clear, professional quality developer documentation. Strong developer empathy and the ability to understand and communicate concepts that are most important to developers are also required.
As an Experienced Developer Relations Engineer, you will create reference implementations, documentation, and tooling to help external developers at financial institutions and fintechs build APIs to Plaid’s FDX specification at scale, and position Plaid as an industry leader in Open Banking. This includes improving the usability, content presentation, and organization of existing documentation, creating new tutorials and topic-specific guides, maintaining and improving developer-facing tools, and being the voice of the developer while providing input on crafting delightful product experiences for Plaid FDX developers.
