Requirements

  • Ability to receive, rotate, cut, wrap, and merchandise fresh and processed meats, including grinds
  • Knowledge of meat, poultry, and seafood to make recommendations and answer member questions
  • Skills in cutting, grinding, and processing fresh meats to company cutting standards
  • Ability to weigh, package, wrap, and label cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood to company packaging standards
  • Capability to maintain appropriate inventory levels and fully stock meat, seafood, prepared foods, and cheese cases
  • Understanding of rotation procedures based on expiration dates and guidelines for disposing of damaged/expired products
  • Proficiency in cleaning and sanitizing equipment, display fixtures, areas, meat cooler, freezer, and refrigerated display cases
  • Commitment to sanitation and safety standards in the meat department
  • Ability to assist in merchandising seafood, prepared foods, cheeses, pre-packed deli, rotisserie chicken area, and full service deli
  • Capacity to prepare special meat arrangements and cuts for members
  • Adherence to club policies, procedures, compliance, GOLD Member Standards (Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate), and club standards (e.g., Grand Opening Look, stocking, signage, cleanliness)

Responsibilities

  • Engage and assist members by making recommendations and answering questions on meat, poultry, and seafood
  • Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by members
  • Cut, grind, and/or process fresh meats to company cutting standards
  • Weigh, package, wrap, and label cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood to company packaging standards
  • Showcase all currently available products in the meat case and maintain appropriate inventory levels
  • Fully stock meat, seafood, prepared foods, and cheese cases; rotate products according to expiration dates
  • Follow guidelines for disposing of damaged and/or expired products
  • Clean and sanitize all equipment, display fixtures, and areas in the meat department, including cooler, freezer, and display cases
  • Inspect and store products
  • Assist in merchandising seafood, prepared foods, cheeses, pre-packed deli, rotisserie chicken, and full service deli
  • Carry out job functions as assigned, support club policies and compliance, act with honesty and integrity, ensure safe environment, embrace inclusion and diversity, work as a team, maintain positive attitude, and deliver service excellence
