Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or related field
  • 3–7 years of EHS experience in manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or high-tech environments
  • Working knowledge of OSHA 1910, NFPA 70E, EPA waste management, and ISO 45001 / 14001 standards
  • Experience conducting risk assessments (FMEA, HAZOP, Job Hazard Analysis)
  • Strong communication, leadership, and influencing skills across all levels of the organization
  • Preferred: CSP, CIH, or CHMM certification

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific EHS policies, procedures, and training programs in accordance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and local regulations
  • Conduct hazard assessments, risk analyses, and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) for new and existing processes
  • Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and drive corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Monitor industrial hygiene (air, noise, fumes, ergonomic risks) and recommend engineering or administrative controls
  • Manage safety documentation, audits, and reporting to corporate and regulatory agencies
  • Support PFMEA EHS risk evaluation and control measures
  • Drive continuous improvement through metrics TRIR, near-miss trends, leading indicators
  • Coordinate emergency response planning, fire safety, and hazardous material management (SDS, labeling, storage)
  • Champion a culture of accountability with respect to safety
