Candidates must possess an Associate or Bachelor of Nursing degree from an accredited school or university and hold an active RN license in a Nursing Licensure Compact state with residency. They should have a minimum of two years of experience working with diabetes patients in a clinical setting, possess knowledge of diabetes care, education, prevention, and low carbohydrate nutrition, and be eligible for licensure in every U.S. state. A CDCES certification is preferred, and candidates should demonstrate an interest in working with a growth-stage, tech-enabled healthcare organization, possess excellent communication, time management, and critical thinking abilities, and exhibit a team-player mentality.
The Enrollment Nurse will conduct 20-minute clinical intake visits with prospective patients via video and/or phone, including verifying clinical history, medications, answering questions about Virta treatment, and flagging concerning history or labs. They will educate patients about Virta and its treatment, helping them prepare for their nutritional and behavioral journey. Additionally, RNs will provide clinical support to providers by managing patient panels, triaging calls, entering medications, and educating patients on diabetes management, including medication administration and carb counting. Work time will be split between telemedicine visits and provider support activities, with a commitment to providing high-quality care and an exceptional patient experience.
