Requirements
- Native-level fluency in Korean
- Experience in translating patents from English into Korean
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in the translation and/or editing of patent documents (more specifically, mechanical and/or chemical patents)
- Strong experience in translating and proofreading patents in the fields of Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Electricity, Mechanics, Medical Devices
- Proficiency in using CAT tools, especially Trados and XTM
- Ability to provide files in K-Editor compatible formats (HLT, HLZ, FIN)
- Good availability and quick response times
- Immediate availability (ASAP start)
- Successful completion of an English into Korean patent translation test
Responsibilities
- Translate patent documents from English into Korean
- Proofread patent translations
- Work remotely on projects involving content in Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Electricity, Mechanics, Medical Devices
- Handle expected weighted volume of 5,000+ words per week using XTM CAT tool
- Provide deliverables in specified formats for integration with production teams
