The ability to balance competing priorities and manage stakeholder expectations is also necessary.
The Engineering Manager will lead and grow an autonomous, high-performing, self-managing engineering team through coaching, clear expectations, and thoughtful structure. They will own the team's technical direction, backlog priorities, and delivery processes, balancing input from the team, stakeholders, and company strategy. Responsibilities include ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality software by balancing features, tech debt, support, and innovation, and holding the team accountable to engineering fundamentals like test-driven development and SOLID principles. The manager will partner closely with Product and Design to shape the roadmap, estimate confidently, and communicate decisions clearly, while fostering a culture of accountability, visibility, and healthy communication and championing Loop's mission and values.
