Requirements

Candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years of experience managing software engineers. A technical degree or equivalent software engineering work experience is required, along with experience managing Android and/or iOS engineers, shipping consumer-facing mobile applications, and experience with Agile/Scrum processes. Strong communication, project management, and delegation skills are necessary, as is the ability to drive cross-functional projects from inception to product launch. Candidates must also demonstrate strong people management skills, a growth mindset, and the ability to maintain a good work-life balance for themselves and their team.

Responsibilities

As an Engineering Manager, you will manage a team of Android and iOS engineers, overseeing the design, build, ship, and maintenance of Oura app features related to women’s bodies and women’s health. You will contribute to the planning and scoping of critical projects, own the execution and delivery of engineering efforts, and collaborate closely with stakeholders across various teams including Product, Design, Science, Research, Data Science, Regulatory, Marketing, and other global organizations. You will mentor your reports to foster their professional growth, provide technical leadership, evaluate trade-offs, champion engineering excellence, establish key metrics, and drive continuous operational improvements.
