Oura is seeking a highly motivated Engineering Manager to join its Women's Health team. This role is instrumental in delivering projects that provide deeper insights into reproductive health and its connection to overall well-being. This is an opportunity to innovate and define the future of women's health within wearable technology.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years as a manager of software engineers.
  • Technical degree or equivalent software engineering work experience.
  • Experience managing Android and/or iOS engineers.
  • Experience shipping consumer-facing mobile applications and/or the systems that power them.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum processes and the ability to advocate for process improvements.
  • Strong communication, project management, and delegation skills.
  • Ability to drive cross-functional projects from inception to product launch.
  • Strong people management skills, including recognizing achievements, providing constructive feedback, and fostering a growth mindset.
  • Ability to maintain and promote a healthy work-life balance for oneself and the team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Android and iOS engineers in designing, building, shipping, and maintaining Oura app features related to women’s bodies and women’s health.
  • Oversee and manage the development and delivery of highly technical cross-functional projects, collaborating closely with engineering teams and colleagues in the EU.
  • Contribute to the planning and scoping of critical projects and own the execution and delivery of engineering efforts.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Product, Design, Science, Research, Data Science, Regulatory, Marketing, and other global teams.
  • Mentor reports to develop their skills and foster professional growth, guiding them through their careers.
  • Provide technical leadership to the team, contributing to and sometimes leading technical discussions, and making sound technical decisions.
  • Champion engineering excellence, establish key metrics, and drive continuous operational improvements.
