Requirements

Minimum of 10 years of overall experience
Experience with performance and optimization problems, with a demonstrated ability to both diagnose and prevent such problems, and a desire to share knowledge and scale through others
Enjoy leading engineering teams in a fast-paced startup environment where teams are autonomous and experimental, part of a truly global team, and work up and down the stack
Enjoy hands-on coding, knowing the balance between coding with the team, delegating coding, and handling other responsibilities
Strong experience leading teams in delivering production-quality products according to industry standards

Responsibilities

Lead the engineering team to develop features and improvements to the Affinidi Elements product in a secure, well-tested, and performant way, primarily using Typescript with NodeJs and React (also Dart and React)
Analyze and interpret highly complex data to arrive at actionable recommendations for tasks on team and cross-team levels
Collaborate with Product Management and other stakeholders within Engineering (e.g., UX) to maintain a high bar for quality in a fast-paced, iterative environment
Collaborate in building the product and technology roadmap with peers, product managers, designers, and stakeholders
Advocate for improvements to product quality, security, and performance
Guide the team in solving technical problems with large scope and complexity
Guide the team in crafting code that meets internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for high-scale systems; maintain and advocate for these standards through team and department practices
Confidently own delivery of significantly complex features and improvements with minimal guidance; collaborate with cross-functional teams and peers on larger projects
Lead by example and constantly coach and mentor engineers in achieving the next level of career and professional growth
Lead and create a diverse, dynamic, collaborative, transparent culture where everyone's ideas and opinions are equally valued
