Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience managing and growing engineering teams in an agile environment
  • 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, combining strong backend (Node.js) and frontend (React) skills with a background in platform, infrastructure, or developer productivity domains
  • Proven ability to deliver impactful tooling and platforms that improve the developer experience across multiple teams
  • A strong sense of urgency and ownership, with the ability to move fast, stay focused on impact, and drive projects forward with momentum
  • A pragmatic, value-oriented mindset with the ability to balance trade-offs and drive decisions
  • Strong technical foundation with solid knowledge of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD systems, container orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code practices (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, AWS or equivalents)
  • Clear understanding of scalable system design, code quality, and software lifecycle best practices
  • Enthusiasm for AI-assisted development (e.g., Cursor, Claude)
  • Strong technical background

Responsibilities

  • Build, support, and develop a high-performing full-stack engineering team through hiring, coaching, and mentorship
  • Drive delivery of tools, workflows, and platform improvements that elevate the developer experience across the Engineering organization
  • Partner with Platform Engineering peers (e.g., Infrastructure) and product engineering teams to define and execute the Developer Platform roadmap
  • Lead technical decision-making around tooling, CI/CD, build systems, and development environments to ensure scalability, reliability, and ease of use
  • Lead initiatives end-to-end, from assessing developer pain points to building solutions and driving adoption across teams
  • Continuously measure and improve the effectiveness of our development workflows, feedback loops, and build times
  • Foster a culture of ownership, urgency, and accountability within the team
  • Contribute to the evolution of the engineering team culture, technical standards, and organizational processes
  • Encourage thoughtful use of AI tooling to boost productivity and quality
