Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering

Available for Summer 2026 (up to 40 hours per week; part-time during school year may be available)
Able to work on-site at the manufacturing facility in St. Joseph, MO

Responsibilities

Understand manufacturing processes, define critical parameters, meet customer standards, and apply knowledge in a daily manufacturing environment
Perform equipment downtime and root cause failure analysis, design improvements, and repairs
Execute controls/PLC/robotics project upgrades
Manage small to medium projects on mechanical/electrical/structural aspects
Participate in requests for new equipment and process improvements
Participate in PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) and develop process improvement plans
Develop Quick Changeover guides for production lines
Develop standard work/job plans for troubleshooting robots
Develop a database to track all prints
Develop project management skills
