Requirements
- Expert in 3D & 2D CAD design using CATIA as primary tool and UG/NX as secondary tool
- BE/B.Tech from Mechanical Engineering / Automotive Engineering / Mechatronics Engineering / Polymer Engineering
- Relevant experience of 3-5 years in detail mechanical design and applications development
- Familiar with basic principles of mechanical engineering theory
- Understanding of design for manufacturability and assembly
- Design for plastic injection molded parts
- Plastic fasteners / component design and development
- Automotive design and development cycle experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Design and develop CAD concepts to support North America and Europe Projects
- Utilize predictive software for weight savings, cost reductions, and engineering improvements based on design considerations and simulation results
- Drive technical team meetings to discuss CAD results
- Capture lessons learned for future usage and drive product improvement activities
- Assist management in establishing and updating project plans and priorities
- Communicate with team members and customers on all projects related matters
- Maintain records of all activities and results in CAD project database
- Contribute to innovation and concept development and idea generation
- Contribute to maintaining system requirements of ISO9001:2015
