Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other relevant technical discipline (Mechanical Engineering focus preferred)
  • Professional Engineering License preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience working in an engineering capacity with Rotating and Mechanical equipment in an industrial setting (engineering or operations)
  • Oil and Gas industry experience required (LNG preferred; petrochemical, NGL, cryogenic natural gas processing, or other hydrocarbon processing acceptable)
  • Extensive knowledge of gas turbines (Frames & Aero-derivatives) and compressors (including compressor performance)
  • Understanding of drivers such as turbines (gas & steam) and motors, and driven equipment such as generators, compressors, and pumps
  • Familiarity with associated supporting components/systems such as couplings, bearings, lubrication, and sealing systems (dry gas seals and mechanical seals)
  • Working knowledge of compressor performance and vibration analysis
  • Ability to provide intermediate level Reliability Engineering support, including Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM)
  • Onsite work at Calcasieu Pass 2 LNG (CP2) facility in Cameron, Louisiana (full-time)

Responsibilities

  • Rotating equipment MOC/HAZOP signoff
  • Site rotating equipment technical authority
  • VG engineering sign off on rotating equipment inspection/readiness
  • Provides input to weekly site engineering report
  • Witness major activities (motor solo runs, N2 runs, SATs, etc.)
  • Provide Reliability Engineering support to Operations team, focusing on RCFA and RCM
