Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Design, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 6 years of experience in manufacturing design and processes or related occupation
  • Employment experience with Microsoft based programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, Project, or Visio
  • Employment experience with Computer aided engineering programs such as Creo, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD
  • Employment experience with 8D Principles for RCCA, Troubleshooting, & Issue Resolution
  • Employment experience with APQP Documentation to support production releasing components

Responsibilities

  • Design and validate components for CPI issue resolution
  • Lead and support Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) and New Source Introduction (NSI) programs
  • Review and approve process change notices (PCN), deviations, and PPAP’s
  • Conduct bench endurance testing for validation of design changes or component resourcing
  • Responsible for product maintenance support including drawing releases
  • Identify and implement enhancements and modifications to complex manufacturing operations equipment and processes
  • Monitor sophisticated equipment and process reliability, identify and address problem areas
  • Lead engineering support on planning, development, operation, and maintenance of equipment, processes, or facilities
  • Develop and use control and monitoring mechanisms for adherence
  • Consult on the use of new tools and techniques for safety protection
  • Assess and report unusual or new safety hazards or violations and initiate corrective action
  • Participate in measuring and monitoring new processes and technologies
  • Select and optimize specific methodologies for specific products
  • Evaluate benefits, drawbacks and appropriateness of alternative processes and technologies
  • Select and utilize tools, techniques and measurements associated with a lean assessment
  • Assess and validate decision options and points and predicts their potential impact
