  • Capability to mentor teams, provide status updates, and promote automation for productivity, efficiency, and compliance

Responsibilities

  • Mentor process control team on design, controls philosophy, implementation, and commissioning
  • Develop and implement the Automation Engineering Project Plan
  • Technically lead and oversee Site Area leads and System Integrators on Functional Requirements, Design Specifications, DCS Application Software, and Test Specifications
  • Lead/participate in design reviews, DeltaV application reviews, Laboratory and Analytical equipment application reviews, and attend FATs
  • Lead a team of automation engineers supporting commissioning and provide periodic status updates to Project Management
  • Devise functional requirements and process control strategies for control systems with Process Engineering
  • Perform DCS software design, coding/configuration, testing, automation engineering for control loops, and support electronic systems like plant historians
  • Maintain validated state of site control systems, develop/execute validation strategies and documentation
  • Provide automation support for capital projects, including new product introductions
  • Promote automation use to improve productivity, operational efficiency, and compliance
  • Coordinate with consultants to set and reinforce standards for automation work products
