Requirements

  • Competency in analytical techniques for assignments of moderate complexity (e.g., dividing problems into steps and performing necessary analysis)
  • Ability to understand interrelationships between systems and component equipment
  • Ability to analyze and recommend enhancements to business processes
  • Coordinates work activities of others within work group, department, or corporate entity for routine activities

Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering work activities and projects requiring application of engineering knowledge in a safe, effective, efficient, and economic manner
  • Conduct engineering and design work for transmission line design, including engineering analysis/design, route selection, material acquisition, structural/foundation design, project/construction management
  • Prepare project construction documents: plan/profile drawings, design drawings, engineering/material/construction specifications, project schedules, bills of material
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing to ensure on-schedule, on-budget project performance
  • Develop transmission line designs and cost estimates for proposed projects
  • Work with internal/external customers, government/regulatory agencies, contractors to secure permits, refine design alternatives, and complete liaison activities
  • Conduct bid and construction meetings as needed
  • Collaborate with Project Management, Substation design, Distribution, Supply Chain, and Right of Way as required
