Responsibilities

  • Monitors and adjusts audio and video parameters to ensure the best network quality
  • Maintains network quality, minimizes customer outages, and communicates technical issues and solutions in daily shift reports and pass-down meetings
  • Tunes and troubleshoots various types of satellite and fiber decoders
  • Assists operations with training related to audio and video equipment use and adjustments
  • Ensures a clean and dust-free environment in all technical areas and maintains the integrity of system wiring and documentation
  • Coordinates and supports internally and externally run company broadcast events
  • Provides assistance in network planning, engineering, architecture, and the development of technical standards for video over IP
  • Provides basic resolution for routine network problems, coordinates support for end user problems, and occasionally provides direct end user support for executives
  • Contributes to projects supporting the implementation, operations, and management of real-time, network-computing infrastructure
  • Installs and repairs broadcast operations equipment as needed
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
