  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in the residential construction and/or maintenance industry
  • Proficiency with computers, phones, and other office equipment
  • Ability to work at heights, use ladders, and navigate tight spaces such as attics and basements
  • BPI certification is a plus
  • Must be flexible based on customer availability
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license and have access to reliable transportation
  • Minimum of 3 years of driving experience, including the ability to operate a vehicle for work-related responsibilities
  • Willing to move through the pre-employment screening process
  • Ability to lift up to 50-70 pounds
  • Ability to work in a variety of extreme environmental conditions (e.g., high heat, cold temperatures)
  • Willing and able to climb ladders, ascend/descend stairs, work on rooftops of multi-level buildings, and within confined spaces such as attics
  • Regularly required to speak, hear, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, and reach with hands and arms
  • Occasionally need to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Vision requirements: ability to focus at close and long distances, distinguish colors, maintain peripheral awareness, perceive depth, and make precise focus adjustments
  • Be available to work on some Saturdays, as needed
  • Lift up to 35 pounds and work in tight spaces, including attics, crawl spaces, and hatch doors
  • Work for extended periods in hot attic environments

Responsibilities

  • Install energy-efficient upgrades in single-family residential homes, including insulation, pipe insulation, plumbing fixture aerators, duct sealing, air sealing, compact fluorescent light bulbs, and thermostat replacements
  • Conduct energy audits, measuring and documenting pre- and post-upgrade energy reduction results
  • Follow assigned work orders and ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently
  • Adhere to safety guidelines, identifying and reporting any potentially unsafe work environments
  • Maintain a clean worksite, ensuring all areas are tidy after job completion
  • Assist the Energy Efficiency Crew Leader in conducting final home testing after work is completed
  • Perform minor home repairs to improve overall energy efficiency
  • Utilize blower doors, duct blasters, pressure pans, ladders, combustion safety equipment, hand tools, and power tools to install insulation, energy conservation devices, duct sealing, caulking, air sealing, lighting, thermostats, CO detectors, and weather stripping
  • Handle materials such as fiberglass, cellulose, foam, mastic, and caulk safely and effectively
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership
