Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years in a manufacturing engineering role with experience in system integration, testing, and troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and software domains
  • Experience with unmanned or autonomous systems is a plus
  • Strong understanding of full system validation, including the interactions between mechanical, electrical, and software systems
  • Expertise in diagnosing issues and troubleshooting across multiple engineering disciplines
  • Familiarity with DoD regulations, quality standards, and safety protocols
  • Proficiency in system-level testing tools, diagnostic equipment, and software integration processes
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours/day
  • Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 20 lbs
  • The ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs
  • Ability to work outside for an extended period of time
  • Frequently and repetitively, bend, lift and reach to install vehicle parts of varying size and weight overhead, accurately

Responsibilities

  • Lead comprehensive system-level testing to ensure that mechanical, electrical, and software components work harmoniously. Validate integration of subsystems, including propulsion, navigation, communications, and power management
  • Diagnose and resolve issues across the mechanical, electrical, and software levels, understanding how each discipline interacts within the autonomous system. Work with engineering teams to identify root causes and implement solutions
  • Ensure the seamless execution of end-of-line operations, including vessel commissioning, final quality checks, and optimization of the overall system assembly process
  • Perform end-of-line inspections and system checks, maintaining documentation and ensuring compliance with DoD and internal standards
  • Work closely with engineering, production, and quality control teams to identify areas for improvement, address recurring issues, and drive continuous process optimization
