Requirements

Resilient and able to remain composed in challenging situations, including when dealing with EMTs
Thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
Flexibility to work rotational 12-hour shifts, typically on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and every second Saturday (hours and days may vary)
Fixed fibre line with minimum speed of 25 Mbps (upload & download) and wired Ethernet connection (mandatory)
Reliable power backup solution to manage load shedding and power outages (mandatory)
Required to work on all South African public holidays (compensated per BCEA)
Experience in the Healthcare Industry (beneficial)
Previous experience in dispatch or coordination (added benefit)
Customer service skills
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks; work independently and as a team member
Competent radio communication skills
Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)

Responsibilities

Answering incoming calls (administrative, non-emergency, and emergency)
Professional etiquette
Promptly ascertain proper levels of response
Triage calls and enter data into computer system
Data entry with critical attention to details
Constantly monitoring the dispatch system
Ensure units are en-route
Post moves in a timely fashion
Ensure other units are within acceptable distance
Communicate appropriate routing instructions
Investigate and report all time exceptions
Complete and submit daily reports
