Requirements

Bachelor’s in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Automotive Engineering
2+ years of experience in development and design of electrical assemblies

Responsibilities

Interpret and evaluate Customer product specifications
Evaluate and determine feasibility of product proposals, analyzing customer specifications and engineering factors including tolerances, material strengths, mechanical parts, forces, electrical currents and illumination factors
Schedule, attend and facilitate meetings, discussions and presentations regarding design
Standardize components, product assemblies and engineering methods to ensure cost efficient manufacturing of products
Plan and develop experimental test programs
Collect and analyze engineering test results
Prepare test reports and additional documentation for customer presentations
Collaborate with Prototype, Quality, and Production engineers, directing manufacturing of product prototypes for testing and evaluation, and providing product and technical support to production and Quality departments
Communicate all engineering documentation and requests to Tokai-Rika Japan
Research and evaluate competitor’s products and technologies, performing benchmarking, creating cost-reducing ideas, reviewing competitors' products, tracking market trends and new technologies, and attending trade and auto shows
Complete assigned special projects
Continuously participate in seminars and training classes, mentoring, guiding and advising Design Engineers I
Ensure accurate meeting minutes are kept and supervisor is updated on all Customer visits
