Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Physics, Engineering, Electronics, Computing or any Applied Science discipline to minimum 2:2
  • Interest in electro-optic systems and technologies
  • Keen to apply knowledge and skills to challenge self, team and technical capability
  • British Citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship (security clearance requirements)
  • Ability to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS)

Responsibilities

  • Support major MBDA programmes by designing and certifying EO products (Systems Engineering)
  • Innovate and develop cutting-edge technologies alongside experts (Technologies)
  • Generate models for EO systems and use them to predict performance (Modelling and Tools)
  • Create synthetic IR imagery for models to test different scenarios (Scene Generation)
  • Assess real EO systems through lab testing and field trials (Trials)
  • Work across systems design, computational modelling, lab testing and field trials
  • Collaborate with teams, technical community across MBDA and wider defence industry
