Requirements

  • 5 x GCSEs including Maths & English Language & Science/Technology (all sciences or IT) at Grade 9 - 4
  • 120 UCAS achieved through one of the following:
  • 3 B's or ABC at A level including Maths AND Physics or Technology or an Engineering subject
  • T-Level at Merit or Distinction in an Engineering subject
  • BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Engineering at a minimum grade of DDM including a Distinction in Further Maths module

Responsibilities

  • Study towards a BEng (Hons) Electro-Mechanical Engineering at University Centre Weston for 4 years (1 day per week study leave)
  • Work 4 days per week in the EMC and RE department, EE&F, and general placements across the business
  • Gain lab experience within the EMC facility
  • Influence the design of electronic equipment by working closely with design teams
  • Support design and test of missile systems and electronic equipment
  • Work hands-on in the EMC facility to simulate environments
  • Participate in consultancy embedded across MBDA projects to ensure good EMC practice & design
  • Complete external placements with contractors and suppliers
  • Work on a range of products across MBDA projects, including missiles and weapon systems
