Requirements

At least 1 year of previous experience/training in industrial maintenance
At least 1 year of industrial maintenance work experience and 6 months of work history with 1 employer within the last 2 years listed on application
Training beyond high school preferred, including Associate Degree in Electronic Technology or closely related field, or combination of education and experience (e.g., skilled trade programs, military training)
Competent in Windows-based software (Outlook, Excel, Word); strong skills in document organization, templates, and simple queries
Proficient or become proficient in SAP Plant Maintenance
Able to communicate verbally and in writing; high-level critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Certifications in any technical field or techniques (plus)
Strong interpersonal skills
Demonstrated skills in AC/DC circuits and industrial electrical systems
Experience in electrical safety and lock out/tag out processes and procedures
Knowledge in theory and application of electronic devices (e.g., industrial semiconductors, solid state drives, industrial control systems)
Experience in operation of PLC systems, control and data collection instrumentation, and transducers
Working knowledge and skills in tools and components for maintenance/repair of mechanical systems (e.g., bearings, gears, clutches, belts, seals)
Ability to troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic components and systems
Preferred: Basic microcomputer skills for microprocessors; PLC operation (configuration, programming, troubleshooting); skills/training in electronic motor drive technologies (e.g., servo-motors, encoders, VFDs, etc.)
Minimum 1-5 trips per year outside assigned location
Willing and able to perform physical requirements of the job (frequent exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high places, outside weather, electrical shock, vibration; occasional toxic chemicals, extreme heat; loud noise) with or without reasonable accommodation
Rehire criteria: minimum 180-day waiting period; no more than 3 times worked at Tyson Foods
