This is an on-site night shift position at the Abbott Park, IL location with a rotating 12-hour schedule, 4 days on and 4 days off.
Required skills include knowledge of Abbott Electrical Standards, NEC, and GMP requirements; ability to perform basic electrical construction using pipe bending/threading tools and hand/power tools; installation, testing, and troubleshooting of conductors, transformers, circuit breakers, Motor Control Centers, and wiring systems; and reading electrical drawings with use of test equipment like digital multimeters and Meggers.

Strong candidates will have hands-on experience installing equipment, conduit, wiring, and connection boxes; troubleshooting and repairing up to 600 volts; performing PM activities on VFDs, Soft Starts, and emergency lighting; understanding building electrical distribution; and routine switching on circuit breakers and switchgear.
