Ability to provide technical support for commissioning new plant and equipment, including review and verification of installation, function checking, calibration, and acceptance from contractors
Knowledge of safety standards and ability to ensure adherence by teams

Responsibilities

Supervise and/or perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, modification, installation, and commissioning of electrical equipment in Global Operations production facilities, joint ventures, and third-party facilities
Respond to major electrical breakdowns: carry out prompt inspection, analyse faults, repair, and re-commission affected plant and equipment to minimize production loss
Support plants with maintenance according to the Plant Maintenance programme, including routine maintenance, major overhaul maintenance, and working on maintenance shutdowns
Supervise contractors and/or Air Products staff, ensuring work is adequately planned, implemented safely, and at a high level of effectiveness
Carry out plant modifications according to central design specifications; submit self-generated design changes for approval; for some projects, generate scope, cost, obtain Expenditure Approval, and implement work scope
Provide advice and assistance to Plant Managers and staff on maintenance matters, drawing on technical resources and expertise of specialist engineers as necessary
In association with the Maintenance Systems group, review and update technical content of preventive maintenance procedures and recommend changes for improvements in safety, quality, or economy
