  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) from four-year college or university and 0 to 2 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Builds stable working relationships internally
  • Follows standard practice and procedures when analyzing situations or data
  • Basic understanding of applicable codes
  • Understanding of design and calculation software
  • Ability to learn how to lay out portions of the electrical systems for projects
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment with purchasing, quality assurance, manufacturing, and engineering personnel
  • Communicate effectively in English, in both oral and written forms
  • Knowledgeable in electrical and electronic engineering principles
  • Ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing
  • Ability to move from place to place within an office environment

Responsibilities

  • Establish system design of lighting, power, systems, and technology
  • Coordinate design with a project manager, senior team members, and outside design consultants
  • Participate in QA/QC process for your work and the work of others
  • Assist in the determination of project scheduling requirements and project budgets
  • Perform construction administration and field investigation tasks for assigned projects, including conducting field inspections and subsequent detailed inspection reports
  • Assist in processing RFIs, change orders, bulletins, and addenda
  • Research equipment selections, and complete equipment schedules
  • Document existing conditions
  • Other duties as required
