Requirements

  • Accredited bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
  • 4+ years of experience in electrical design for commercial or healthcare environments
  • Practical Revit experience required
  • Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA, and other relevant electrical standards
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills
  • PE license is not required, but is highly preferred
  • Preferred Skills
  • Experience with lighting design software (e.g., AGi32 or Visual)
  • Knowledge of project delivery methods and construction processes
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems for commercial and healthcare facilities, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems
  • Create and manage electrical drawings and models using Revit
  • Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and code compliance verification
  • Coordinate project requirements with architects, mechanical engineers, structural engineers, and contractors
  • Participate in project meetings, communicate design concepts, and support construction administration activities
  • Review submittals, respond to RFIs, and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure designs adhere to applicable codes, standards, and client requirements
