Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Professional Engineer (PE) license and advanced degree is a plus) or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted
5+ years of experience in electrical engineering in a manufacturing environment
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and building systems
Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to emergencies
Experience in project management, including planning, budgeting, and execution
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement practices

Responsibilities

Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for machinery, HVAC, electrical systems, and facility infrastructure
Respond to equipment breakdowns and coordinate timely repairs
Maintain records of maintenance activities and equipment history
Organize and produce engineering drawings for installation and commissioning of new and existing designs (physical layouts, grounding, conduits, electro-mechanical and microprocessor protection relay systems in medium voltage stations)
Work with facilities maintenance technicians in troubleshooting facility systems or equipment failures
Oversee building electrical systems including lighting, fire protection alarm systems, heating/cooling, and security
Lead and support design teams involved with conceptual, preliminary, and final design of station projects
Perform engineering design work and engineering studies
Develop test plans and perform tests on electrical circuitry, equipment, and systems
Perform as engineering project leader
Prepare specifications and evaluate bids
Prepare recommendation material for management consideration
Administer and review work performed by consultants and others
Perform field engineering work and analyses
Manage project budgets and schedules
Manage contractors and vendors for facility services and repairs
Assist with preparing and managing the maintenance and facilities budget
Monitor expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities
Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards
Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments
Support emergency response planning and drills
Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and facility efficiency
Collaborate with engineering and production teams on capital projects and upgrades
Utilize Lean, TPM, or Six Sigma methodologies to drive improvements
