Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Education, Instructional Design, or a related field (required); advanced degree preferred
  • 5+ years in EHSS training or program management, with strong background in manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Industry certifications (e.g., CSP, CHMM, OSHA Outreach Trainer) highly desirable
  • Deep understanding of EHSS regulations and best practices
  • Proven ability to lead enterprise-wide training initiatives
  • Expertise in instructional design and adult learning principles
  • Proficiency in eLearning development tools (e.g., Articulate, Adobe Captivate) and LMS platforms
  • Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills
  • Passion for continuous improvement, innovation, and building safe, sustainable manufacturing systems
  • Highly adaptable and proactive, excelling in fast-paced start-up and new model launch environments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Willingness to relocate to Warsaw, Indiana (relocation assistance provided)
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Physical ability for office-based work with frequent manufacturing site visits, including standing, walking, and demonstrating safety procedures

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a long-term EHSS training roadmap aligned with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and operational needs
  • Own and deliver the EHSS component of new hire onboarding across manufacturing sites, ensuring consistent, high-quality orientation
  • Design and implement technical training programs that prepare employees for safe and effective performance in manufacturing environments
  • Lead the creation of standardized, role-specific training modules for EHSS topics, including ergonomics, chemical safety, machine safety, and emergency response
  • Develop engaging digital learning content using eLearning tools and integrate multimedia, simulations, and assessments
  • Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions across shifts and locations, adapting delivery methods to meet diverse learner needs
  • Manage enterprise-wide EHSS learning management system (LMS) content, course assignments, and training metrics reporting
  • Ensure training programs meet OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards; maintain accurate records and audit readiness
  • Partner with HR, Operations, and EHSS teams to assess training needs, align initiatives, and support continuous improvement
  • Monitor training effectiveness through feedback, performance data, and incident trends; use insights to refine content and delivery
