Requirements

Knowledge of Global Star Safety Framework (GSSF) and ISO14001 systems
Familiarity with OSHA, ISO14001, EHS laws, and BW Corporate policies and procedures relating to Safety & Environment

Responsibilities

Implement Safety system (Global Star Safety Framework) and ISO14001 system
Ensure compliance with OSHA, ISO14001, EHS laws, and BW Corporate policies and procedures relating to Safety & Environment
Develop EHS goals and strategy, and work with management team in implementation
Keep up with changes in regulatory compliance issues and implement changes as required in facilities
Develop EHS procedures and work instructions
Coordinate EHS committee meetings and track all meeting minutes
Analyze incidents, conduct EHS inspections, and communicate EHS statistics to plant manager
Meet government, BW global, third party, and WOFE’s EHS requirements, communicate them to the team, and track compliance
Ensure EHS inspection and audit programs are in place to identify and address potential hazards/unsafe behavior, prevent injuries/illnesses/property damage, and track until closure
Monitor and collect EHS data from each department (incidents, findings, lost days) and report to management team and global
Create EHS training plan and ensure all levels of employees receive EHS training
Conduct evacuation drills or any emergency response drills
Hold various EHS activities to improve employee EHS awareness and create EHS culture
Communicate regularly with government (Environment, Safety, Occupational health, fire department) about EHS issues
Assist the site manager in implementing safety & health programs and the site safety and health plan
