Requirements

  • Knowledge of risk management processes, tools, and techniques for assessing and controlling organizational exposure to risks
  • Knowledge of interpersonal relationship techniques to work constructively and collaboratively with individuals and groups
  • Knowledge of problem-solving approaches, tools, and techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational, or process problems
  • Knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policy compliance to implement policies ensuring safety for people and the environment, and compliance with legal requirements and standards
  • Located in Morton, IL (no relocation offered)
  • 1st Shift: Monday through Friday, 100% on-site (no hybrid or remote)
  • Up to 10% domestic travel
  • Availability for on-call off-hours support

Responsibilities

  • Identify common safety/health/environmental hazards in operations and establish guidelines for protection
  • Ensure EHS training is completed to comply with regulatory requirements or support facility, division, or enterprise objectives
  • Audit safety/health/environmental programs for compliance with company standards, government regulations, and adequacy relative to local conditions
  • Monitor periodic performance reports for trends and conditions, and alert line management to problems
  • Serve as an individual contributor on EHS projects and assignments to support and enhance Caterpillar facility performance and compliance
