eCommerce Operations Analyst

Position Overview

This is an entry-level role designed to train an individual as an eCommerce Merchandising Operations Analyst to support the eCommerce team. The ideal candidate will possess an analytical mindset, exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a demonstrated interest or prior knowledge in eCommerce operations. This position serves as a support role and a development opportunity, preparing the candidate for full responsibility as a Senior eCommerce Merchandising Operations Specialist within 2-3 years, contingent upon successful mastery of the role.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor nightly platform activity (e.g., CronJobs) and conduct daily operational checks.
  • Report any identified issues to the Operations Manager for resolution.
  • Identify operational opportunities for efficiency gains and improvements.
  • Document all current processes and procedures for the eCommerce tech stack.
  • Identify processes that can be improved to reduce product content onboarding time and site change/update times.
  • Recommend usability improvements for tools used by the digital merchandising team, collaborating with team members.
  • Assist with testing site tool features and functionality.
  • Review iSupport tickets and monitor ticket assignments until resolution, escalating as necessary.
  • Analyze tickets to identify patterns of issues and determine root causes for resolution.
  • Assist with the documentation and maintenance of the Standard Operating Procedures library.
  • Collaborate with Operations and other Digital Merchandising teams to provide input to the Digital Product Management team on projects that improve 'speed to shelf'.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Capability to operate in a hands-on/execution capacity, demonstrating detail-orientation and conscientiousness.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to create and maintain detailed documentation.
  • Proactive in identifying and creating sustainable processes to reduce time/effort across multiple teams.
  • High level of enthusiasm, energy, and a sense of urgency to address online issues.
  • Ability to work towards goals both individually and as part of a team.
  • Self-teaching ability via online courses, videos, and tutorials.
  • Curiosity and creativeness to continuously learn, grow, and think outside the box.
  • Proficiency in Google’s G Suite of products (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Sites).
