Position Overview

Long View is seeking a professional and engaging Dynamics 365 F&O Technical Architect to join our Data & Dynamics team. This role is ideal for an expert in Finance & Operations processes who can understand client requirements through strong business and technical consulting skills, and is adept at optimizing Dynamics 365 implementations. You will favor Change Management over Customization and be able to influence customers accordingly. You will work directly with Sales and Delivery leaders to support solution demos, design, and quotes.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, architects, and implements solutions with Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement modules, ensuring designs/implementations meet client requirements.
  • Analyzes complex requirements and develops IT strategies and multi-technology solutions aligned with industry-accepted best practices.
  • Creates relevant documentation, including conceptual design, logical and physical designs, bill of materials, as-built diagrams, knowledge transfer materials, FAQs, and transition to operations information.
  • Develops and implements solutions for the D365 Finance & Operations portfolio, leveraging core Dynamics functionality along with Azure PaaS technologies and the Power Platform.
  • Provides the highest level of technical support within the support team, responsible for analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving the most complex application and integration issues.
  • Collaborates with business users, Tier 1/2 support teams, developers, and Microsoft to ensure system stability and performance across the enterprise.
  • Serves as the final escalation point for all functional and technical issues in D365 F&O.
  • Diagnoses and resolves complex system, configuration, and integration issues, including performance bottlenecks and data inconsistencies.
  • Works closely with development teams to identify and resolve defects, implement patches, and support new releases.
  • Analyzes root causes and implements long-term solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborates with Microsoft support (Premier/Unified) to escalate and manage critical issues (FastTrack, LCS).
  • Performs system health checks, environment refreshes, and monitoring tasks.
  • Supports code deployments, hotfixes, and service updates following the ALM process.
  • Participates in regression testing, UAT, and post-deployment validation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of industry experience working with Dynamics 365 F&O.
  • Proven expertise with multiple products in the D365 Unified Operations portfolio, including:
    • Financials & Accounting
    • Budgeting
    • Project Management
    • Distribution
    • Transportation
    • Manufacturing
    • Cost Accounting
    • Procurement
    • Sales Orders
    • Retail
  • 3+ years of expertise with Dataverse and the Power Platform.
  • 3+ years of experience with integrations/APIs.
  • Ability to effectively communicate to different audiences, including internal and external stakeholders and peers, clearly and concisely in written, oral, and various presentation formats and situations.
  • Proficiency in workshop facilitation (envisioning workshops, art-of-the-possible sessions).
