Responsibilities

Perform tasks in production function areas per Novo Health Services Standard Operating Procedures, including soiled linen separation, hand folding, ironing, operating washing and drying equipment, and load building
Take items from washer or ironer, hand fold, stack, and place on appropriate cart for next stage
Remove product from previous process and identify stack quantities based on job knowledge
Pull cart to work area, adjust to waist level, fold items, and place on cart or table
For larger items, perform group folding by grabbing lengthwise ends, stepping back to fold, and stacking in groups of three or five
Run clean product through ironer, catch, count, and prepare for folding or next stage
Bend down and lift flat sheets and blankets from basket or feed table, shake out if needed
Feed flat sheets and blankets into spreader and ironer (first feed to spreader, second to ironer)
Handle pillowcases and smaller items from spring-loaded carts
Catch items from ironer, inspect for quality, stack, and place in nearby cart
Load various linen items according to client orders, in proper order, on correct cart prior to delivery
Identify various lines of linen products and their functions
Build bulk carts by filling with individual items
